HEATHER’S TAKE ON BIRTHDAYS
What was your most embarrassing birthday wish you ever made? On my 15th birthday I wished that all of the awesome/funny comebacks I think of 5 minutes after the fact would instead be said with perfect timing. So to sum up, I wished for practical intelligence.
Which birthday do you remember looking forward to most? I am really looking forward to this one, I mean, I’ve never been 35 before! To be honest, I look forward to them all because I was born on my moms birthday. Every year at 5pm I find a new way to remind her that “its a girl!”
Name your top three mandatory birthday treats/indulgences: Crawfish steam pot boil with a tasty beverage, Olive Garden celebration cake, and anything my daughter makes for me on my birthday for lunch.
Which birthday would you love to re-live? I would have to say my 30th birthday, my husband planned an 80’s theme party where everyone dressed up and we played all kinds of 80’s theme games.
What was the most unusual birthday gift you’ve ever received? On my 30th birthday I received a Pound Puppy, Ninja Turtles, CP30 Toy, Roger Rabbit Toy, A Care Bear, The DeLorean From Back To The Future, Stay Puft Man Made Out Of A Marshmallow, Thunder Cats Toy, A California Raisin, A Troll Doll, A Transformer, Mario and Luigi, Rubik’s Cube, Magic 8-Ball, An Etch A Sketch, A Gizmo figure, Garfield toy, Light Bright, Cabbage Patch Doll, Strawberry Shortcake, GI Joe, A He Man figure, Rainbow Bright, Glow Worm, And The Breakfast Club Movie. Yes, my friends are that awesome!
Why did you decide to do a birthday campaign for individuals with disabilities? I am passionate about making a difference. When I am involved in a project at work I want to do my best to achieve success, I feel the same way about what I do in my personal life. When I heard about this campaign, I wanted to do something for the people that inspire me most. The members we support here at Gompers are some of the most awesome and unique individuals that I have ever met. So why not share my birthday with them??
