Employment Services

Gompers offers one of the best employee training programs in the Valley for individuals with disabilities. With supportive supervisors and a skilled support team, members have opportunities to explore their interests and gain experience with the ultimate goal of independent, competitive employment in their communities.

Gompers’ Employment Services Continuum

Gompers offers employment opportunities based on your member’s existing skill level. We believe that employment is a transformational step for an individual’s independence! At Gompers, it is our hope to see all our members achieve their personal dreams of employment and we exist to help them achieve these goals!

Individual Supported Employment (ISE)
This program is an intense one-on-one job coaching program intended to support individuals when they obtain independent employment
Transition to Employment (TTE)
TTE teaches soft skills required to be able to secure and maintain employment and includes time out in the community to address topics such as job exploration and the use of public transportation.
Group Supported Employment (GSE)
This program provides a community based, assisted work program that allows individuals to develop their job skills while working on-site at local companies to promote independent employment.
Center Based Employment (CBE)
CBE focuses on preparing individuals with developmental disabilities for community employment in a center-based location. CBE will help members attain the tools and skills that prepare them for employment in the community.

Vocational Rehabilitation (RSA)
Gompers works in partnership with Voc Rehab to provide employment support to people with disabilities.
Disability Related Employment Services (DRES)
A job development/job coaching program to support people with disabilities. This program is provided by Voc Rehab (RSA).
